Yuval Ron

Yuval Ron (Hebrew: יובל רון‎) is an Oscar-winning[1] Israeli Jewish[2] musician currently also under consideration for a Grammy award.[3] He won the 2007 Academy Award for Short Film for writing the music for West Bank Story.[4] He has an eponymous band, the Yuval Ron Ensemble which plays world music, combining Jewish, Sufi, and Armenian music.[2] Yuval's primary instrument is the oud. His albums include Seeker of Truth, One, and Under the Olive Tree.
